Job summary

WorkSafe New Zealand is seeking a hands-on Data Scientist to apply advanced analytics, machine learning and AI to regulatory and organisational challenges. You will work with data engineers and stakeholders to design and deliver end-to-end models and AI products that inform decision-making and improve workplace safety.

The role requires strong Python or R and SQL skills, experience with ML/AI, and a willingness to learn modern cloud/MLOps tools within the Azure ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Hands-on data science project delivery end-to-end.
• Strong Python or R and SQL skills.
• Experience with ML and AI techniques for complex datasets.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
