Fonterra Te Mātāpuna in New Zealand is seeking a Data Product Manager to own the data product strategy for the CFO office, focusing on procurement and finance. You will partner with business leaders to unlock value through data and AI-enabled decision making.
Working across business, data and technology teams, you will guide data products from concept to delivery, balancing priorities and delivering measurable business outcomes. This role offers high visibility and impact across the co-op.
At Fonterra Te Mātāpuna, we want everyone to feel they can be themselves.
Whether you're early in your career or ready for your next step, Fonterra offers a unique opportunity to grow with a global dairy co-operative that values care, collaboration, and contribution.
Owned by New Zealand dairy farmers and supported by a dedicated team, we are all working together to create a better future. Imagine tomorrow with us, where your career can grow, and you can create positive change.
Fonterra as one of New Zealand’s leading companies has made significant and ongoing investments into Data & AI as we continue to build for our future. As part of this journey, we have recently made a significant investment into the oCFO Data & AI team.
The vision for oCFO Data & AI is to ‘automate and augment finance with Data & AI’, which we have been progressing via a roadmap of data product development and selective AI POC’s. Building on success, we are now increasing team capability in data governance, data architecture and product design, and AI. As we expand our team, we are looking to hire a Data Product Manager.
As the Data Product Manager, you'll own the data product strategy for the office of the CFO (Procurement and Finance functions), ensuring investment and delivery are focused on the opportunities that matter most. Partnering closely with business leaders, you'll identify where data can unlock value, improve decision-making, and enable better business outcomes.
Working across business, data, and technology teams, you'll guide the development of data products from concept through to delivery and ongoing optimisation. You'll bring together diverse perspectives, balance competing priorities, and ensure products continue to evolve in line with changing business needs.
This is a highly visible role with the opportunity to influence decisions at scale and shape how data is leveraged across the Co-op.
You may have built your career in finance, accounting, or commercial roles, or led large-scale data and transformation initiatives. Either way, you'll understand how to translate business priorities into outcomes that create value.
You don't need to be a hands‑on technical expert. Our Data & AI teams provide the deep technical expertise, while you bring the business lens, helping connect organisational priorities with the data products and capabilities needed to deliver them.
Most importantly, you're able to see the bigger picture, ask thoughtful questions, and identify opportunities where data can enable better decisions, improved performance, and long‑term value for the Co-op.
You'll bring:
