Reboot Monkey in Ashburton District, New Zealand, is hiring a Data Center Technician for a full-time on-site role. You will support critical infrastructure at world-class data center facilities and ensure reliable server and network operations.

The role requires 3+ years in data center operations, advanced cabling skills, and experience with power distribution, UPS systems, DCIM platforms, and ITIL practices. On-call rotation and shift differentiations apply.

Qualifications

• 3+ years data center operations experience.
• Expert cabling skills (Cat6/6a, OM3/OM4/OS2 fiber).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in demanding environments.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
• Experience with rack and stack operations.
• Knowledge of power distribution and UPS systems.
• Familiar with DCIM platforms.
• Knowledge of ITIL practices.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain server and network equipment.
• Perform structured cabling (copper and fiber optic).
• Execute hardware deployments and decommissions.
• Monitor environmental systems (power, cooling, security).
• Respond to incidents and perform troubleshooting.
• Maintain accurate documentation and asset tracking.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams.
• Participate in capacity planning and upgrades.
