Job summary

The Regions Immigration Law & Recruitment in Auckland, North Island is seeking a Feed Production Manager to lead on-site dairy farm operations in collaboration with the Farm Manager. The role covers feed planning, pasture management, animal health and farm safety.

Ideal candidates will have tertiary education or dairy farming experience, be physically fit, hold a NZ work visa or right to work, and possess a valid driver license.

Qualifications

• Must be physically fit.
• Must pass pre-employment drug test.
• Must provide a CV with verifiable references.
• Must have right to work in NZ (citizen/resident or valid visa).
• Must have a valid driver license.

Responsibilities

• Assist Farm Manager to plan feed and manage feed operations.
• Oversee weed and pest control to protect pasture and crops.
• Ensure fertilizer and irrigation requirements are met by staff.
• Supervise milking operations, plant hygiene and somatic cell count.
• Operate the effluent system in line with council and company standards.
• Implement animal health programs and calf rearing for quality stock.
• Coordinate stock sales and maintain herd records.
• Help develop and implement the farm business plan.
• Maintain repairs and maintenance schedules for plant and machinery.
• Ensure health, safety and environmental policies are followed.
