Job summary

Pāmu Landcorp Farming Limited is seeking a Dairy Farm Assistant to join Bassets Dairy, located just south of Westport. You will assist with milking, calving, feeding stock, and other tasks while working with a supportive, high-performing team.

Full training and opportunities to mentor junior staff are provided, with a culture focused on safety, wellbeing, and continuous improvement. Accommodation is provided, and the role offers competitive pay with health and life insurance benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar dairy farming role (or a strong interest in developing one).
• Good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• A current NZ restricted or full driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Milking, calving and feeding stock.
• Effluent management, spraying and fencing on the farm.
• Support production and animal welfare goals while developing your skills and mentoring newer team members.
