Job summary

Air New Zealand is expanding its Digital team with a Cyber Security graduate program in Auckland. You will gain hands-on experience across cyber security, risk and threat management while working with experienced security professionals to defend against emerging threats.

The programme welcomes final-year students or recent graduates (≤18 months) with a STEM background and a passion for technology. This is a permanent, full-time role with two intake dates in late 2026 and early 2027.

Qualifications

• A relevant tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Cybersecurity or another STEM discipline with a strong foundation in cyber.
• Final year of study with completion by end of 2026 or graduated within the last 18 months.
• Less than 2 years of professional experience in this area.
• Demonstrated passion and curiosity for technology beyond studies, including personal projects, open source, AI tools, apps or cybersecurity challenges.
• Thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment and enjoys solving ambiguous problems.
• Have legal right to work in New Zealand in a permanent, full-time role.
