Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora in Palmerston North is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Crisis Resolution Service. The role delivers rapid mental health assessment, crisis intervention, and recovery-focused care for tangata whaiora and whānau.

The position involves risk management, after-hours support, and close collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, Emergency Department, Police, and community agencies to ensure safe transitions and positive outcomes.

Formación

• A qualification as a Registered Nurse with a current practising certificate.
• Minimum of three years' experience in a mental health setting.
• Confidence in acute assessment, risk management and crisis intervention.
• Ability to build positive working relationships with tangata whaiora, whānau and partner agencies.
• Strong understanding of culturally safe practice and Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles.

Responsabilidades

• Undertake rapid mental health assessments and crisis intervention.
• Provide timely crisis intervention and risk management.
• Work with tangata whaiora and whānau to support wellbeing and recovery.
• Collaborate with Emergency Department, Police, inpatient services and community agencies.
• Support after-hours and across settings with rotating shifts.
