Job summary

Heritage Lifecare’s Edith Cavell Lifecare & Village in Christchurch is seeking an experienced Cook to join our culinary team. You will help create hearty, nutritious meals for residents and ensure individual dietary requirements are met, with a fixed term part-time arrangement of 16 hours per week until 11 January 2027.

The role includes weekend shifts and a supportive team environment, within a centre that values diversity, empathy and high-quality dining experiences for residents.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in catering and food service, ideally in a commercial kitchen.
• A culinary qualification or equivalent experience.
• Passion for creating good food and a great dining experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and time management skills.
• A love for helping people with excellent customer service and a friendly attitude.
• Experience delivering to a quality standard.
