Job summary

South Port NZ Ltd in Bluff, New Zealand, is seeking a reliable forklift operator to join our Container Division. You will assist with loading, handling, and storage of export and import containers and support on-ground operations to keep our fleet moving.

The role provides on-job training for heavy container handlers and, where vessel schedules demand, night and weekend shifts. Candidates with a strong safety mindset and a valid NZ work visa are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Forklift experience and ability to be trained on equipment.
• Full driver's licence and reliable transport.
• Valid work visa required.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts for loading, handling, and storage of containers.
• Support on-ground operations to keep containers clean and fit for purpose.
• Adhere to safety practices and pre-employment medical/drug testing where applicable.
• Work as part of a team to support vessel arrivals and departures, including nights/weekends when required.
