The roles include comprehensive outpatient and inpatient respiratory services, bronchoscopy, and collaboration with radiology, nuclear medicine, radiation and oncology. Various permanency options are available.

Qualifications

• To work as a Consultant Respiratory Medicine Physician, applicants must be eligible for vocational registration in Internal Medicine with the Medical Council of New Zealand with specialist training/qualification in Respiratory Medicine.
• Practitioners need to meet competency standards and hold Annual Practising Certificates (APCs) to work safely and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive specialist outpatient and inpatient respiratory services, and primary health care support including community-based clinics
• Elective respiratory services such as bronchoscopy, including both flexible bronchoscopy and linear EBUS
• Support services on-site include radiology, nuclear medicine, radiation and medical oncology
• Acute inpatient respiratory consults and procedures
