Job summary

Extrastaff, a LabourHire Company, is hiring full-time Construction Technicians for deployment on infrastructure and commercial projects across New Zealand. Positions are full-time and permanent, with site location based on project demand.

Key responsibilities include erecting scaffolding, pouring concrete, laying floors, and coordinating with trades. Applicants should have construction experience, strong work ethic, and be willing to travel or relocate within NZ.

Qualifications

• Experience in the construction industry is preferred.
• Good time management and a strong work ethic are essential.
• Ability to work well within a team.
• Solid knowledge of health and safety procedures.
• Reliable with a strong work ethic.
• Able to pass background checks and drug tests.
• Willing to travel or relocate across New Zealand.
• Fabrication/joinery or framing experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Erect scaffolding or ladders for assembling structures above ground level.
• Create structures, forms or chutes and pour concrete.
• Cover subfloors with building paper and install flooring materials.
• Fill cracks in plaster or plasterboard and sand patches.
• Position and secure steel bars, rods, or mesh in concrete forms.
• General labouring and cleaning construction sites as required.
• Load and unload materials and transport them around sites.
• All other duties as assigned.
