Job summary

ACCIONA is seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to join the Northland Corridor project in New Zealand. This senior role leads compliance, governance and assurance within a complex multi-stakeholder delivery model, ensuring obligations are met across construction and operation phases.

Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will coordinate with technical, finance and stakeholder teams to safeguard contractual integrity and drive best-practice.

Qualifications

• Experience in compliance, governance or assurance in major infra, PPP or project finance.
• Understanding of complex contractual frameworks and multi-party delivery.
• Strong stakeholder management with influence across technical and commercial teams.
• Analytical with attention to detail and solution-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of compliance frameworks, governance processes and assurance systems.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with contractual, regulatory and statutory obligations across all project phases.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Compliance Manager to join a major infrastructure project environment. This senior role offers the opportunity to lead compliance, governance and assurance activities within a complex, multi-stakeholder delivery model, ensuring obligations are met across construction and operational phases.

Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will play a critical role in safeguarding contractual integrity, maintaining strong governance frameworks and supporting long-term project performance.

You will work closely with technical, finance and stakeholder teams to ensure seamless coordination of compliance obligations, while providing independent oversight and driving best-practice across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of compliance frameworks, governance processes, and assurance systems

• Monitor and enforce compliance with contractual, regulatory and statutory obligations across all project phases

• Oversee compliance across multiple contract interfaces, ensuring clear accountability and effective coordination

• Manage audit and assurance activities, including preparation of reporting for senior leadership and governance forums

• Identify, assess and mitigate compliance and contractual risks to protect project performance and reputation

Required Skills and Competencies

• Demonstrated experience in compliance, governance or assurance within major infrastructure, PPP, or project finance environments

• Strong understanding of complex contractual frameworks and multi-party delivery models

• Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across technical and commercial teams

• Highly analytical with strong attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
