Job summary

HomeWell Care Services in Auckland, New Zealand is seeking Personal Caregivers who are eager to learn and grow in the senior care industry. You will provide compassionate, reliable support to clients in their homes, focusing on dignity and comfort.

Responsibilities include companionship, personal care tasks, light housekeeping, meal planning, medication reminders, and safe transport. Training and flexible scheduling are available to help you develop skills and advance in the field.

Qualifications

• Treat clients with dignity and respect.
• Interpret the client’s plan of care.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and transportation.
• Be flexible and adaptable to new situations.
• Tolerance to small pets (i.e. dogs and/or cats).
• Must be reachable via phone or email for shift schedules, client updates and emergencies.
• Able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
• Prior experience with dementia care is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and conversation.
• Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, bathroom needs, and feeding.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry and linen changing.
• Lay out clothes and assist with dressing.
• Plan and prepare meals.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Provide transportation to and from appointments.
• Help family members learn safe care techniques.
