Job summary

Access Community Health in Invercargill is seeking a Community Registered Nurse on a fixed-term 6-month contract to deliver high-quality clinical care directly in people’s homes. You’ll develop personalised support plans, work with a connected team of health professionals, and guide our support workers to achieve better outcomes.

You’ll provide culturally safe, consent-based care, involve whānau when desired, and adapt practice with supervision and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Registered or enrolled nurse with a current practising certificate.
• Experience in long-term conditions or aged residential care welcome but not essential.
• Strong team player with ability to build professional relationships within the community.
• Ability to plan and organise caseloads, establish priorities, and meet deadlines.

As an Access Community Health Registered Nurse,you’llbring essential healthcare directly into people’s homes—shaping personalised support plans, delivering high‑quality clinical care, and guiding our support workers to provide thevery bestservice. Working alongside a connected team of skilled health professionals,you’llplay a vital role in achieving exceptional outcomes for the people we support.

You will provide culturally safe,respectfuland consent-based care that recognises what matters to each person — including their culture, values, beliefs, routines, communicationneedsand boundaries — and you will involve whānau/support networks where this is the person’s preference.

Ngātohungatangamōtēneitūranga| Skills and experience

• Registered or enrolled nurse with a current practising certificate. Minimum 2 years practical experience in NZ or offshore
• Experience in long‑term conditions, aged residential care, or medical nursing is welcomed but not essential — we provide support and training.
• Strong teamplayer with the ability to build professional relationships within the community.
• The ability to plan and organise caseloads effectively, toestablishpriorities and meet deadlines in a demanding, client focused environment. Ability to self-manage and handle a busy workload.
• A current full driver's license is essential.
• Digital confidence with using apps and computers
• Demonstrated commitment to culturally safe practice, equity, and respectful engagement with Māori,Pacificand diverse communities.
• Strong communicationskills that support safe engagement (including awareness of health literacy and adapting communication to the person).
• Willingness to learn, reflect and adapt your practice in line with supervision, training, and continuous improvement.
