Job summary

Plunket is hiring a Registered Nurse to support pēpi, tamariki, and whānau across South Canterbury (Timaru, Fairlie and Tekapo). This permanent 0.6 FTE role offers orientation, ongoing preceptor support, and a focus on culturally safe care in community settings.

You will conduct home and clinic visits, assess growth and development, and collaborate with whānau and other health services to ensure safe, healthy homes.

Qualifications

• Qualified Registered Nurse with NZ registration and practicing certificate.
• Willingness to perform home visits and clinic assessments.
• Experience in Well Child Tamariki Ora or willingness to pursue certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide well child and tamariki care across South Canterbury.
• Build trusting relationships with whānau and caregivers.
• Deliver care in home and clinic settings with culturally safe practice.
