Job summary

HealthCare NZ is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to deliver high quality community nursing services in the Dunedin region. You will assess, educate and advocate for clients living in their own homes, with a variety of support needs and clinical tasks.

The role prioritises autonomous practice within a supportive, multicultural team, Monday to Friday with no weekend shifts. NZ citizenship or permanent residency is required.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse qualification and current NZ practising certificate.
• Previous community experience is preferred.
• NZ Citizen or Permanent Resident status required.
• Excellent verbal communication and caring nature.
• Team player with ability to manage a busy workload.
• Valid NZ driver’s license is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide community-based nursing services and education.
• Perform wound, catheter and medication management as required.
• Deliver advocacy and support to diverse clients in their homes.
• Collaborate with clients, families and colleagues to plan care.
