Job summary

Zest Dental Recruitment, in partnership with a local charitable trust in Palmerston North, is seeking a Dentist to provide community dental care from a new one-chair mobile unit. You will work as the sole dentist, supported by a dedicated assistant and coordinator, with senior clinician support by phone when required.

Two years of clinical experience and DCNZ registration are essential. The role emphasizes community-based care, autnomy, and working within a small team in a rural setting.

Qualifications

• Registered dentist with DCNZ eligibility.
• Minimum of two years of clinical experience.
• Ability to work independently in a community setting.
• Strong communication and patient care skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide general dental care including restorations, hygiene, extractions, endodontics and periodontics.
• Work as sole dentist with support staff (dental assistant and coordinator).
• Consult with senior dentist by phone during working hours for clinical support when needed.
• Manage bookings and deliver care in a mobile unit serving the community.
