Hutt City Council invites applications for a Communications and Engagement Advisor role in Lower Hutt. You will oversee all communications and engagement requirements for key council projects, supporting services for communities.
As the primary contact, you will align strategies with project objectives and the organisation's overall communications goals, create content, monitor effectiveness, and provide strategic advice to ensure best practices in project planning.
We have an exciting Communications and Engagement Advisor role available at Hutt City Council! The role will oversee all communications and engagement requirements for important council projects, supporting the vital work we do and services we deliver for our communities.
You will serve as the primary point of contact, aligning strategies with project objectives and the organisation's overall communications and engagement goals.
Your role will involve creating project-related content, monitoring the effectiveness of communications efforts, and providing strategic advice to ensure best practice approaches are included in project planning.
You will also be joining one of the best communications and engagement teams in the region (we might be biased) - a group of passionate, community minded people and a team with a great culture.
You are an experienced communications and engagement professional with a proven track record of working with projects, or in a business partner model.
You will have the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, developing strong relationships and high levels of trust. You will also have strong political acumen, a good understanding of media risks, community and engagement business strategies and be able to deliver high quality work.
Finally, we're looking for someone who appreciates a strong team culture, who enjoys their job and wants to work in an open and supportive environment.
