The Waimakariri District Council serves a community of over 67,000 that is experiencing rapid growth with a high rate of development accompanied by corresponding demands on support functions. The Council is seeking a Communications & Engagement Advisor to work full time within the Communications and Engagement Unit based in Rangiora.

The successful applicant will be responsible for providing high quality communications and engagement advice and services to internal and external stakeholders in line with the unit business plan. You will be an excellent writer with the ability to think creatively about the channels and messages used to reach your audience.

To be successful in this position, you will be able to demonstrate experience in a similar role.

This role will suit a strong team player who enjoys interacting with a wide range of stakeholders and going the extra mile but also thrives on accuracy and efficiency of information and processes.

We are looking for someone who takes ownership and has exceptional customer service skills with a "can do" attitude. Being able to prioritise workloads and deal with multiple tasks in high-pressure situations is essential.
