Job summary

QT Queenstown, part of EVT Group, is seeking a bartender to join the premium hospitality team. The role is part-time with a minimum guaranteed 30 hours per week, ideal for candidates who thrive in a vibrant hotel setting and love delivering standout drinks to a curious guest base.

Based in Queenstown, NZ, the property features 225 lake-view rooms and multiple outlets. Bring your craft, personality and energy to help the team shine and create memorable experiences for guests.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a bartender in a hotel, bar or premium hospitality venue.
• Solid cocktail knowledge and the technique to back it up, with a genuine eye for quality and presentation.
• A personality that makes guests feel like they picked exactly the right place to spend their evening.
• Impeccable personal presentation and a cool head when the bar is three deep.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver warm, attentive bar service to guests, reading the room and staying one step ahead of what they need.
• Prepare and serve a full range of beverages to the QT standard, ensuring every drink that leaves the bar is consistent, well-presented and worth coming back for.
• Know the menu inside out, from cocktails and spirits to food pairings and specials, and share that knowledge with guests in a way that feels natural.
• Keep your section stocked, clean and guest-ready throughout service, completing all opening and closing duties as assigned.
• Handle payments accurately, follow all cashiering and RSA policies and ensure all bar equipment is well maintained.
• Participate in training sessions, attend scheduled meetings and support other outlets when the team needs a hand.

The Role

Queenstown is one of the most spectacular places on earth to live, work and pour a drink. QT Queenstown is the largest 5-star hotel in town, currently being transformed into something seriously special, with 225 lake-view rooms, four distinct venues and a food and beverage offering to match the scenery. We're looking for a Bartender who brings the craft, the personality and the energy to help make it all sing. This is a part-time role with a minimum guaranteed 30 hours per week.
