Job summary

New Zealand Government is seeking an intermediate-to-senior DevOps Engineer to partner with the CNO R&D team. You will automate, test, and release software, owning platforms and pipelines to keep the environment reliable, secure and ready for rapid capability evolution.

You will work with Linux ecosystems (RHEL desirable), CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code tools, contributing to security-focused software delivery for national security.

Qualifications

• Intermediate-to-senior level DevOps skillsets.
• Experience in software automation or testing.
• Proven experience in programming, preferably Python.
• Experience with Linux, especially RHEL, desirable.

Responsibilities

• Own platforms, tools and pipelines in the CNO environment to enable reliable, secure software delivery at speed.
• Embed CI/CD practices to support agile development within an intelligence-focused organisation.
• Collaborate with engineers and operators to automate, test and release software at scale.
