Job summary

Hawke’s Bay District Council – Napier City, North Island is seeking a permanent Solution Engineer to join our ICT team. This full-time role designs, develops and supports integrations, APIs and reporting solutions across Azure services and SQL.

You will work with Power Platform, API Management, Azure Functions and in-house C# applications, collaborating with stakeholders through the full solution lifecycle to deliver secure, scalable outcomes for our community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent tertiary qualification.
• 1–3+ years’ post-qualification experience in software development, system implementation and administration.
• Experience with Azure Logic Apps, API Management (APIM), Azure Functions, Azure DevOps, and SQL is highly valued.
• A valid driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support integrations, APIs, automated workflows, applications, and reporting solutions.
• Work across Azure Integration Services, Power Platform, SQL, and related Microsoft technologies.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Contribute across the full solution lifecycle from design to deployment and ongoing support.
• Explore emerging technologies, including AI-driven improvements, to shape the technology environment.
