Job summary

Lakeland Clinical Trials Waikato in Hamilton, New Zealand, is seeking a Clinical Study Coordinator to support the delivery of clinical trials. Qualifications

• Experience in clinical research preferred but not necessary.
• Background in science, healthcare and nursing.
• Confidence learning new software systems.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Confidence working in fast-paced work environment.
• Self-managing and ability to handle pressure to meet trial related deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking study related tasks in line with protocol and ICH-GCP guidelines and relevant policies.
• Ensuring procedural aspects of the studies (standards of care, informed consent) are carried out to a high standard.
• Assisting with ethics process as required.
• Liaising with trial participants, sponsors, local labs and stakeholders.
• Participating in development of study guidelines for conduct.
• Assessing patient eligibility for trials.
• Providing care and coordination of participants at every stage of the clinical trial journey.
• Drug accountability and ensuring supplies are stored.
• Laboratory sample handling.
• Performing protocol procedures (e.g., interviewing participants, taking vitals, ECGs) under supervision.
• Completing all administrative requirements to a high standard.
