About the Role

As the Clinical Support Specialist in the Sports Medicine portfolio, you'll play a pivotal part in ensuring surgeons, theatre teams, and wider clinical customers receive outstanding product support. You'll become a trusted partner in the operating theatre, offering hands‑on guidance, training, and in‑servicing as required. Working closely with the sales team, you'll help drive key business objectives through exceptional product knowledge, seamless clinical training delivery, and consistent customer care. This is a Monday to Friday role with home office set up and regional travel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide outstanding clinical support across a portfolio of orthopaedic products
  • Support surgical procedures in the operating theatre on an 'as required' basis
  • Manage training and in‑servicing schedules, aligned with sales and marketing strategies
  • Improve operating efficiencies, including managing surgeon preferences and coordinating with warehouse and customer service teams
  • Maintain customer profiles, preferences, and shared calendar accuracy
  • Contribute to a positive team culture with strong communication and collaboration
  • Provide occasional Territory Manager support, gaining great development exposure
What You'll Bring
Experience & Education (3-5 years)
  • 3-5 years' experience in a medical or theatre setting, or tertiary qualifications in a medical or science‑related field.
  • Experience within orthopaedics/MSK is essential.
  • Solid understanding of the NZ public and private healthcare system.
Technical & Professional Skills
  • Strong clinical and technical understanding of medical devices.
  • Confident operating in the theatre environment.
  • Good grasp of sales processes and customer engagement.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and strong administrative capability.
