Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora - Te Toka Tumai Auckland is seeking a part‑time Medical Imaging Technologist to act as Clinical Practicum Supervisor. You will collaborate with universities to deliver high‑quality clinical placements for MIT students.

You will provide mentorship, coordinate placements across Greenlane, Auckland City Hospital and Starship, and support staff in supervision roles while promoting a safe, equitable learning environment.

Qualifications

• Registered MIT with current APC and essential clinical experience.
• Minimum 5 years post‑graduate clinical experience.
• 2–3 years supervising/teaching students or staff.
• Demonstrated commitment to biculturalism and equitable health outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate student clinical placements across multiple Auckland hospitals.
• Provide hands‑on clinical teaching, supervision, and mentoring.
• Foster a culturally safe learning environment aligned with Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
• Support clinical staff in supervision roles and education delivery.
• Collaborate with education partners on student progress and wellbeing.
• Promote clinical excellence, professionalism, and ethical practice.
• Contribute to quality improvement of clinical education programs.
