About the Role

Join our team as the Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) at theIntegrated Family Health Service (IFHS). In this pivotal role, you’ll overseethe coordination of nursing services across primary care in Westport and in ourRural Nurse clinics in Ngakawau and Karamea, ensuring high-quality,patient-focused care while managing resources responsibly.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadand manage nursing teams across multiple locations, fostering a culture ofcollaboration and excellence.
  • Promotecontemporary, patient-centred nursing practices in alignment withorganizational goals and the Principles of the Treaty of Waitangi.
  • Ensurelegal, effective, and culturally sensitive nursing practices.
  • Manageteam resources efficiently and within budgetary constraints.
  • Driveservice improvements through quality management and effective complaintand incident handling.
  • Facilitateintegration of services and multidisciplinary care models.
  • Mentor,support, and inspire nursing staff, fostering professional development.
About the Team/Service/ Location

The Buller IFHC encompasses a primary care practice inWestport and two rural clinics in Ngakawau and Karamea. The IFHC also offerscommunity nursing and mental health services alongside other outpatientservices. You’ll be part of a leadership team which includes three otherClinical Nurse Managers.

The Buller region is nestled in the northern West Coast, oneof the most scenic places in Aotearoa. With a temperate climate, extensivecoastlines and a genuine ‘mountains to the sea’ landscape, it is a beacon foroutdoor enthusiasts and those looking for a slice of paradise. Westport is ashort hop to Nelson/Marlborough and Greymouth and boasts some amazing commutingscenery. The community is warm, passionate and welcoming, with a good range ofopportunities for schooling, amenities and retail.

About You
  • Qualifications:Registered Nurse with a current NZ Nursing Council Practising Certificate.
  • Experience:2–6+ years post-registration nursing experience, with prior experience inprimary care and management preferred.
  • Skills:Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills; abilityto manage resources and align team goals with strategic objectives.
  • Attributes:Innovative, culturally aware, accountable, and dedicated to ongoing selfand team development.
  • Postgraduatequalification in Nursing or Management (or working toward one).
  • Experiencein a management role within healthcare.
