Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora in Hawke's Bay is seeking a Clinical Coordinator for Te Ara Manapou, leading Addictions and Maternal Mental Health services. This hands-on leadership role balances clinical coordination, complex care pathways, and mentoring colleagues to deliver high-quality, culturally safe care for tangata whaiora and their whānau.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the Nursing Council of NZ or an Allied Health Regulatory Authority.
• At least five years clinical experience in mental health, ideally including community settings.
• Experience providing clinical leadership and mentoring to other clinicians.
• A strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, equity and bicultural practice.
• Excellent communication, organisation and problem solving skills.

About the Role

As a Clinical Coordinator with Te Ara Manapou, you will play a key leadership role supporting the delivery of high quality care across Addictions and Maternal Mental Health services. This is a hands on role where no two days look the same balancing clinical coordination, supporting complex care pathways, and being a trusted clinical resource for the team.

Youll work closely with the Clinical Manager and multidisciplinary colleagues to coordinate referrals, manage day to day clinical workflows, and provide guidance and mentoring to others. This is a great opportunity for an experienced clinician who enjoys influencing how services operate, strengthening equity focused practice, and helping shape responsive, culturally safe care for tangata whaiora and their whānau.

Te Ara Manapou is a specialist Addictions and Maternal Mental Health service based on Queen Street, Hastings. We are a collaborative, values driven team committed to holistic, culturally responsive practice and partnership with whānau, iwi, community providers and health services across Hawkes Bay.
