Job summary

iMIX is expanding its Napier-based cleanroom team and seeks a motivated Cleanroom Technician. You will prepare and maintain sterile environments, pick and prepare orders for pharmaceutical compounding, and ensure GMP compliance and accurate documentation throughout the shift.

You will work in a collaborative production team, with attention to detail and the ability to maintain concentration during repetitive tasks. Some overtime is expected to support our high-growth operation.

Qualifications

• High attention to detail required in a GMP environment.
• Experience or familiarity with sterile/aseptic work processes is beneficial.
• Ability to work as part of a production team in a regulated setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain a sterile environment for cleanrooms to ensure accuracy in compounding.
• Product picking, preparing and second checking of orders for pharmaceutical compounding.
• Decontamination of consumables and products.
• Compounding drugs using aseptic technique.
• Comply with GMP standards and maintain documentation with high accuracy.

iMIX is a fast-growing company, compounding chemotherapy treatment for patients across New Zealand. We are part of the Canopy Healthcare Group, comprising 22 diagnostic clinics, 8 oncology clinics, a private breast surgical and diagnostic centre, making us the largest North Island diagnostic provider and the largest private medical oncology provider in New Zealand.

We have positions available as a Cleanroom Technician at our Napier based cleanroom team.

Your key responsibilities as a Technician:

Prepare and maintain a sterile environment for the cleanrooms to eliminate any errors prior to compounding

Product picking, preparing and second checking of orders ready for pharmaceutical compounding

Decontamination of consumables and products

Compounding drugs using the aseptic technique

Comply with the good manufacturing practices (GMP) standards

Documentation checking ensuring high levels of attention to detail and accuracy

About you:

You are someone who understands what working in a highly regulated environment is like or have previously worked in a similar setting. You have a high level of attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve errors quickly, and possess excellent concentration skills. You take a methodical approach to your work, are willing to use your initiative. You enjoy working as part of a production team and are comfortable standing for extended periods, moving between workstations, performing repetitive tasks, and maintaining accuracy and focus throughout the day.
