Job summary

Remarkable People Limited – Christchurch, South Island is seeking a Cleaner to join our team in Kaikoura. The role involves cleaning 3 commercial sites for 12-15 hours per week outside normal hours, with night shifts. Candidates must be based in Kaikoura and available for night work. A valid license and own car are required, along with passing English tests.

Remarkable People is seeking a Cleaner to join our team! This role is based in Kaikoura and involves providing high-quality cleaning services to our valued client. We are only accepting candidates that are currently based in Kaikoura so please do not apply if you are based elsewhere.

As a Cleaner, you will play a vital part in maintaining a clean, safe and pleasant environment for customers and staff. You will be cleaning 3 commercial sites, 12-15 hours per week outside normal business hours so need to be available for night shifts.

What you'll be doing

• Carrying out general cleaning duties such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting and sanitising across a variety of commercial premises.
• Ensuring all cleaning tasks are completed to a high standard and in a timely manner.
• Replenish consumable supplies as needed.
• Reporting any maintenance issues or concerns to the supervisory team.
• Adhering to all health and safety policies and procedures.

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in a cleaning or housekeeping role, ideally within a commercial or corporate setting.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and ability to work independently.
• Proactive, reliable, and able to follow instructions.
• Good communication skills.
• Be based in Kaikoura and available for night shifts.
• Able to pass written and verbal English tests (H&S requirement).
• Must have own car and restricted or full License.
• Be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and have a clean criminal check.
