Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is seeking a Clinical Psychologist for Nelson/Tasman to support infants, children and adolescents with mental health needs. The role involves working in Nelson, Motueka or Golden Bay clinics, collaborating in a multidisciplinary team and contributing to service development.

The successful candidate will have post-registration mental health experience, strong interpersonal skills, and a passion for delivering psychological interventions across the 0–18 age range,

Qualifications

• Have post-registration experience in a mental health setting.
• Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Active participant in multidisciplinary teams and service culture.
• Engender confidence, trust and rapport with clients and families.
• Passionate about psychological interventions for infants to adolescents.

Responsibilities

• Work with infants, children and adolescents with mental health needs up to 18 years.
• Manage psychology referrals and provide perspectives at MDT for routine and complex cases.
• Engage in service development, supervision opportunities and organisational matters.
