Job summary

EastPack is a Kiwi kiwifruit grower-owner with six sites in the Bay of Plenty. This role partners with the CEO and SLT to shape people strategy, attract and develop talent, and plan for the future workforce amid automation.

You will lead HR and safety across the business, stay connected to ground staff and leaders, and ensure the people function is integral to EastPack's success during peak season and beyond.

Qualifications

• Senior HR leadership experience in a large operating environment (manufacturing/primary industry/logistics)
• Strong capability in workforce planning for high-volume peak periods
• Strategic thinker who can connect people strategy to business outcomes and lead with emotional intelligence

Responsibilities

• Lead the people and safety strategy across EastPack and work closely with the CEO and SLT
• Build capability and strengthen performance through workforce planning and leadership development
• Develop and implement recruitment models and processes to scale during peak season without losing the human connection
• Foster strong relationships across a highly diverse workforce from executive to floor-level employees
