Job summary

Woolworths New Zealand is seeking a Checkout Operator to join our team. You’ll provide face-to-face customer service at checkouts, manage cash and EFTPOS payments, and help shoppers with product knowledge and store services.

You’ll assist customers at self-service checkouts, ensure compliance with age-restricted sales laws, and contribute to a friendly, efficient store environment. The role suits someone who enjoys teamwork, a quick smile, and a proactive approach to everyday retail tasks.

We’re looking for a Checkout Operator to join our Woolworths New Zealand team.

What you'll do

• Face to face customer service at checkouts
• Manage cash and EFTPOS payments
• Help our customers by being knowledgeable about our products and services in our store
• Help us stick to the rules around the sale of age restricted goods, such as tobacco and alcohol
• Assist customers through our self-service checkouts
