Job summary

Anderson Lloyd is seeking a Learning & Capability professional to lift digital capability across the firm. You will translate system changes into practical, role-specific learning materials and deliver adoption support.

The role focuses on making change stick and uplifting capability through coaching, resources and onboarding across offices. Based in Auckland or Christchurch, you will collaborate with practice groups, fabricate engaging guides and videos, and travel to deliver in-person sessions

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience as a lawyer or 2–4 years in learning and development, digital adoption or related role.
• Ability to translate changes into practical learning materials.
• Strong facilitation and coaching skills with clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Build confidence in core systems, digital tools and processes used daily.
• Translate change initiatives into practical learning and adoption support.
• Coach and support teams as new systems and processes are introduced.
• Create engaging learning resources (guides, videos, e-learning).
• Partner with practice groups to deliver targeted support.

About the role

Working closely with the Change & Capability Lead, you will build firmwide confidence in Anderson Lloyd’s core systems, digital tools and ways of working. You will translate system changes, process improvements and digital initiatives into practical, role-relevant learning and adoption support, helping our people use technology and processes consistently, confidently and effectively.

This hands-on role focuses on making change stick and delivering meaningful capability uplift across the firm. You will:

• Build confidence in the systems, digital tools and processes our people use every day
• Translate change initiatives into practical learning and adoption support that embeds new ways of working
• Coach and support teams as new systems and processes are introduced
• Create clear, engaging and accessible learning resources, including guides, videos and e-learning
• Partner with practice groups to understand their workflows and deliver relevant, targeted support
• Contribute to onboarding and core learning programmes across the firm

This role can be based in our Auckland, or Christchurch office.

Some travel across our four offices will be required to deliver in-person training.

Successful candidates will have:

• Either 3-5 years’ experience as a lawyer or 2-4 years' experience in a learning and development, digital adoption or related role
• A strong interest in the intersection of people, technology and new ways of working
• Familiarity with legal technology, AI-enabled tools and emerging digital practices
• The ability to turn technical or process information into clear, practical and engaging learning materials
• Strong facilitation and coaching skills, with the confidence to support people at different capability levels
• A practical, solutions-focused approach, strong communication skills and excellent attention to detail
