WHAT YOU WILL DO /TE MAHI
As the CESW Practice Advisor you will work closely with the CESW Lead in overseeing the professional development of paraprofessional staff employed by local schools receiving NZSL@School funding. This role actively supports the Deaf/Hearing partnership. This is a permanent fulltime adult teaching role and there is flexibility where this role is based.
You will need to be fluent in NZSL, experienced in mediating the NZ Curriculum through NZSL and understanding the unique language and learning needs of D/HH ākonga in the local school classroom. A bachelor's degree in education is desirable (or related qualification and experience).
