Job summary

Pīwaka Early Learning Centre in Glen Eden, Auckland, is seeking a passionate, experienced ECE teacher who delivers high-quality care. In a permanent 35–40-hour role in our 1-2-year-old room, you will work closely with the room leader to provide a warm, welcoming learning environment grounded in Te Whāriki.

Job description

We are seeking a passionate, experienced teacher who prides themselves in delivering high-quality care.

We have 5 classrooms with 5 to 6 teachers per room and are looking for a certified teacher. Our opening hours are 7am to 5:30pm and we are nestled in the heart of Glen Eden.

Our teaching team is supportive and collaborative with a strong sense of whanaungatanga and fun. We are a progressive centre and constantly challenge ourselves to grow and improve. We provide a strong mentoring system to support kaiako with teacher certification.

The role

This is a permanent 35–40-hour role within our 1-2-year-old room. You will work closely alongside the room leader to ensure our tamariki receive the highest quality care and education. Our ideal candidate will be a collaborative team player with, importantly, a strong understanding of Te Whāriki, and the ability to create a warm, welcoming learning environment. Above all, you will bring a genuine passion for working with our tamariki.
