Job summary

Busy Bees Putaruru is seeking a part-time Centre Cook to prepare nutritious Nourish meals each day for our tamariki, while following menu guidelines and maintaining high kitchen hygiene standards.

You’ll work regular daytime hours, Monday to Friday with no late nights, enjoy discounted fees for your own tamariki, and receive fully funded first aid training and food safety certification as part of a supportive centre community.

Qualifications

• Experience cooking in an ECE centre or for large groups.
• Passion for creating wholesome kai.

Responsibilities

• Prepare nutritious meals and snacks.
• Involve older children in kai preparation to support learning.
• Manage weekly grocery shopping and track kitchen expenses.
• Maintain hygiene and safety standards and food records.
• Support the wider centre team as needed.
