Job summary

Cloudy Bay Vineyards in Marlborough seeks a motivated Kitchen Hand / Bar Assistant to support our Cellar Door Team during the busy summer season. You will help with food prep, kitchen setup, bar service and ensuring high standards of cleanliness and presentation.

Ideal candidates are energetic, team‑oriented and quick to learn, with a focus on food hygiene, health and safety, and customer‑friendly service during weekend and holiday shifts from December 2026 to April 2027.

Qualifications

• Experience with kitchen equipment and food prep.
• Ability to work autonomously and deliver quality work.
• Energetic, team‑oriented and proactive.
• Excellent presentation and communication aligned with brand.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and knife skills.
• Availability to work weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prep food and set up the kitchen for service.
• Clean and sanitize all dishes to high standards.
• Collaborate with the team at all levels.
• Follow health and safety practices.
• Maintain food hygiene practices.
• Ensure food quality and standards are met.
• Assist with stock arrivals and storage.
• Set up the outdoor bar and serve drinks when required.
