Job summary

The Recruitment Network in Nelson is seeking a casual chef to join our team for the busy summer season. You will work across pub, bar and restaurant kitchens, handling line cooking, fryer work and classic pub meals.

We offer regular shifts with flexibility to fit your availability, plus weekly pay and 8% holiday pay. This role provides variety across hospitality venues as the season progresses.

Qualifications

• Experience in a commercial kitchen as a chef or cook.
• Confidence with line cooking and fryer work during busy service periods.
• Reliable, positive attitude and ability to work well in a team.
• Flexibility to pick up regular shifts over the summer; NZ work rights.

Responsibilities

• Work on the line in busy pub, bar and restaurant kitchens.
• Prepare and cook a range of menu items, including fryer food, burgers and grills.
• Maintain food quality, kitchen cleanliness and food safety standards.
• Support the wider kitchen team during busy service periods.
