West Coast District Health Board on the picturesque West Coast of the South Island is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a casual position in the General Ward and CCU. You will deliver person- and whānau-centred care across medical and surgical cases, practising both independently and with a skilled rural team.

You will assess, plan, and implement evidence-based nursing care, while mentoring Enrolled Nurses and Health Care Assistants.

Qualifications

• New Zealand Registered Nurse with current Annual Practising Certificate (no conditions).
• Ability to work within scope of practice with evidence-based knowledge and clinical judgement.
• Completion of, or commitment to undertake, cultural competency training.
• Excellent organisational, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability and confidence to work with children.
• Previous medical, surgical and/or rehabilitation nursing experience.
• PDRP portfolio.
• Full, clean NZ driver’s licence.
