Job summary

Animates Hastings and Napier stores are seeking a casual customer service teammate. You will help pet parents with product advice and caring guidance for their pets, contributing to a values-led culture and a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities include specialist nutrition guidance, recommending toys and tank-mate knowledge, handling eCommerce orders, and occasional lifting of heavy items like dog food. Availability on weekdays, weekends, and public holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer facing role (retail experience preferred).
• Physical ability to lift stock (up to 20kg).
• Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends and public holidays.
• A positive attitude and dedication to being a valuable team member.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service that supports pet parents with knowledge and care for their pets.
• Offer specialist nutrition advice, suggest educational toys and know which fish species make good tank-mates.
• Fulfill eCommerce orders and assist in-store operations.
• May be required to lift heavy items such as bags of dog food.
