Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora in Nelson is seeking a casual Mental Health Assistant to join the WāhiOranga unit. Shifts are as and when required, supporting registered nurses in delivering basic care and responding to challenging behaviours.
You will join a collaborative team focused on high-quality patient outcomes, with Nelson offering a vibrant lifestyle and access to outdoor recreation. Previous mental health experience and strong communication are valued.
Competenze
- Year11 NCEA English (or equivalent)
- Year11 NCEA Maths (or equivalent)
- NZQA Level 3 Certificate in Health and Wellbeing - Health Assistance Strand (or equivalent)
Mansioni
- Provide basic nursing care under the supervision and direction of Registered Nurses.
- Assist with patients who exhibit challenging behaviours.
- Support a safe, balanced workload and a positive team environment.
