Job summary

Nelson Marlborough Health in Blenheim is seeking a Health Care Assistant for the Casual Pool at Wairau Hospital. You will work as part of a nursing team to support care delivery, monitoring patients, and providing attentive one-to-one watches as directed.

Flexibility is essential, with shifts across AM, PM, Afternoon and Night, Monday to Sunday. We value teamwork, reliability and good communication; previous health sector experience is preferred and training will be provided.

Qualifications

• We require Year11 NCEA English level 1 (or equivalent).
• Year11 NCEA Maths level 1 (or equivalent).
• NZQA Level 3: Health and Wellbeing - Health Assistance Strand to be commenced if not already obtained.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff in care delivery and monitoring.
• Provide one-to-one patient watches as directed.
• Work within the nursing team to support patient comfort and safety.

We have a vacancyin our Casual Pool working as and when required.

Shifts will be Monday to Sunday all shifts AM. PM, Afternoon, Night.

As a Health Care Assistant, you will bepart of our dedicated nursing environment with full support.
