Job summary

Metlifecare in Auckland is seeking casual Caregivers to join our night and weekend shifts, with flexible weekday cover as needed. Provide care to residents under supervision, be part of a supportive team and enjoy a role that fits around your lifestyle.

You will be trained on the job, with our MetFlex team helping with training and development, and opportunities for permanent roles if you want to move from casual to ongoing employment.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a care environment.
• Good level of fitness to assist residents safely.
• Empathy and a genuine desire to help elderly residents.

About the role

Join our awesome Care Home team as a casual Caregiver! We're currently seeking people who can help cover our night and weekend shifts, with other shifts available throughout the week. About you

We are looking for someone with the right attitude with excellent communication skills and a good level of fitness and who can work as part of a team to provide a high level of care. You maybe at level 0 or 4/5- we will consider your application to find you a suitable place within our teams. Some things that will support your application include:

• Careerforce qualification or equivalent will be advantageous
• Good level of fitness
• Previous experience in aged care or working with the elderly is highly beneficial
• Empathy and a love of making a difference in our residents' lives
