Job summary

BestStart Silverdale is seeking a passionate, energetic Caregiver to join our team in the over 2's space. This is a permanent fulltime role working 40 hours per week.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Caregiver to support tamariki aged 2-5 years as they discover independence, build relationships and develop new skills. You’ll help create a fun, nurturing environment where children feel confident to explore and learn.

Qualifications

• Has a genuine passion for working with tamariki and supporting their development.
• Is bubbly, energetic and nurturing.
• Enjoys working as part of a team.
• Is reliable, flexible and willing to learn.
• Has experience with children aged 2–3 years, or a strong desire to develop their skills.
• Is interested in ongoing learning and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Support tamariki aged 2–5 years as they discover their independence, build relationships and develop new skills.
• Create a fun, nurturing environment where children feel confident to explore and learn.
• Collaborate with the team to provide consistent, high-quality care.
