Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora in Dunedin is seeking a permanent, full-time Cardiologist with a special interest in PCI and structural heart procedures at Dunedin Hospital. This replacement post requires extensive clinical clinics, diagnostic angiography, PCI, and collaboration with general medicine teams across the Otago region.

Appointees should have FRACP or equivalent, enabling vocational registration in NZ.

Qualifications

• FRACP or equivalent qualification.
• Vocational registration with the New Zealand Medical Council.
• Applications from overseas welcome; relocation support available.

Responsibilities

• Conduct face-to-face patient clinics with comprehensive assessments and management plans for cardiac conditions.
• Participate in diagnostic angiography, right heart catheterisation, PCI (including OCT, Shockwave, IVUS).
• Collaborate with general medicine teams and provide in-hospital consult services.
