Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora seeks a registered mental health clinician to join the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service in Masterton. The role includes care management, delivering therapeutic interventions, and collaborating with tamariki, rangatahi and whānau to support recovery.

This permanent full-time position (1.0 FTE) is community-based, across both child and adolescent groups, and emphasizes evidence-based treatment within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Registration with the relevant professional body and current practising certificate.
• Experience in evidence-based therapies for personality disorders, complex PTSD and co-morbid difficulties.
• Ability to work independently as a clinician with consumers and external providers.
• Experience in multidisciplinary team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Provide care management and therapeutic interventions for tamariki and rangatahi.
• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop treatment plans in partnership with whānau.
• Deliver evidence-based treatments aligned with CAMHS protocols.
• Collaborate with paediatrics, education services, and Oranga Tamariki as required.
