Job summary

Connetics in New Zealand is seeking a Business Analyst to join our Switch Project on a 15-month fixed-term contract. You will capture, analyse and document business requirements, and translate them into user stories and acceptance criteria to guide delivery.

You’ll work with stakeholders and technical teams, support testing and training, and help identify process improvements. The role offers flexible working options and an opportunity to contribute to a significant business transformation.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years' experience as a Business Analyst or similar role.
• Experience capturing, analysing and documenting business requirements.
• Strong analytical skills; identify gaps and clarify requirements.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Ability to work proactively and collaborate with a project team.
• Experience with business process analysis, user stories, acceptance criteria, testing or enterprise system implementations.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or Azure DevOps would be beneficial.

About the Role

We're looking for a Business Analyst to join our Switch Project on a 15-month fixed-term contract. Reporting to the Senior Business Analyst, you'll work with business stakeholders, subject matter experts and project teams to understand business needs, document requirements and support successful project delivery.

You'll be involved in:

• Capturing, analysing and documenting business and system requirements.
• Developing user stories, acceptance criteria and business rules.
• Identifying process improvements, gaps, dependencies and potential impacts.
• Working with stakeholders and technical teams to support solution design and delivery.
• Supporting testing, implementation, change and training activities.

About You

You're analytical, proactive and enjoy working with people to understand business needs and solve problems.

You'll thrive in this role if you have:

• At least three years' experience in a Business Analyst or similar role.
• Experience capturing, analysing and documenting business requirements.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify gaps and clarify requirements.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• The ability to work proactively and collaborate with a wider project team.

Experience with business process analysis, user stories, acceptance criteria, testing or enterprise system implementations would be advantageous. Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or Azure DevOps would also be beneficial.
