Selwyn District Council in Rolleston is seeking an experienced Building Surveyor - Building Compliance to ensure buildings meet the Building Act requirements and support positive compliance for our community. You will investigate requests, conduct inspections, issue certificates, and provide practical guidance, with a focus on timely, accurate reporting and customer service.

This full-time role offers a collaborative team environment and opportunities to contribute to safe, fit-for-purpose

Formación

• 5+ years' experience in NZ building projects.
• 3+ years in regulatory compliance environment.
• Strong report writing and communication skills.
• Knowledge of Building Act and Building Code.

Responsabilidades

• Investigating building compliance service requests
• Conducting site inspections and compliance assessments
• Assessing building safety concerns and regulatory matters
• Processing Certificates of Acceptance and exemption applications
• Issuing notices and compliance-related documentation
• Providing advice and support to customers on building compliance matters
• Report writing and maintaining accurate records
• Managing workloads to meet statutory timeframes
