Job summary

Beca in Whangārei is seeking a Structural Engineering Technician to join the Civil Structures team. You’ll deliver a diverse range of infrastructure projects, including bridges, retaining walls and upgrades, through construction monitoring, contract administration and asset inspections.

You will work with engineers, contractors and clients to provide practical, safe solutions that improve resilience and performance of Northland's transport assets.

Qualifications

• NZCE, Diploma, BEng Tech or equivalent engineering qualification.
• At least 5 years of related experience in civil/structural projects.
• Experience with bridges, retaining walls or culverts is preferred.
• Familiarity with design or drafting software is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of projects through construction monitoring and QA.
• Coordinate contract administration and procurement support.
• Conduct asset inspections and prepare technical documentation.
• Collaborate with engineers, contractors and clients to improve resilience.
