A leading healthcare provider in Auckland is seeking an experienced Bookings Coordinator for a part-time (0.8 FTE) position. This role focuses on facilitating a seamless surgery experience for patients by liaising with surgeons and managing patient bookings. Qualifications

  • Previous experience in clinical bookings in a surgical hospital environment.
  • Experience with electronic medical records, ideally TrakCare.
  • Excellent computer skills and ability to pick up new systems quickly.
  • Ability to communicate confidently and clearly.
  • Keen attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with surgeons and secretaries to manage surgical operating lists.
  • Facilitate patient bookings according to surgeon lists and theatre availability.
  • Identify and assist with patient’s special requirements.
  • Obtain and collate relevant patient information required for surgery.

About the Job

We are looking for an experienced Bookings Coordinator to join our clinical operations team and support us to deliver a seamless experience for patients undergoing surgery at Allevia Hospitals. Based at Allevia Hospital in Epsom, this is a permanent part‑time (0.8 FTE) position, with 8‑hour shifts rostered between 6:30 am and 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday.

Key Functions of This Role Are To
  • liaise with surgeons and their secretaries to manage surgical operating lists
  • facilitate patient bookings according to surgeon lists & theatre availability
  • identify, communicate and assist with patient’s special requirements & needs
  • obtain and collate relevant patient information required for their surgery
About you
  • previous experience in clinical bookings in a surgical hospital environment
  • experience with electronic medical records, ideally TrakCare
  • excellent computer skills and the ability to pick up new systems quickly
  • the ability to communicate confidently and clearly in a professional but friendly manner
  • keen attention to detail, high level of accuracy and great organisational skills
